2020 Member Forums

In recognition of the additional demands COVID-19 may be placing on health professionals, the CMA has decided to cancel its final member forums in London and Fredericton. Registered participants for these two forums will receive an email with additional information.

The CMA is hosting a series of eight forums to work with members to drive change.

Physician Health and Wellness

The 2020 forums will build on the physician wellness discussions at the 2019 members forums. The CMA has initiated a national scan to examine  the  programs, services, and resources in Canada that support physician health and wellness, to identify the current gaps and opportunities. More details on these findings will be shared and members will be asked for their ideas on possible solutions to support the profession.

Access to Care and Delivery Models of Care

Across all jurisdictions, Canadians experience significant issues with access to care. We heard these concerns directly from members in the 2019 member forums. At the 2020 forums, we want to hear from members to gain insight on the role of the delivery models of care in improving access to care in Canada – to health care services, and for specific populations.

The forums will be held in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec City, Calgary, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Thunder Bay, London and Fredericton.

Each forum will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m and are free for members. The CMA is pleased to cover travel and accommodation costs to help members attend the forum in their region.

Please note that space is limited, and registration for the member forums is on a first-come, first-served basis.
