Orientation session for General Council participants
This session sets out the procedural/background knowledge needed to prepare participants for their delegate role in the strategic debate sessions at General Council.
In this session participants will:
- recognize the role of the Speaker for General Council in order to advance policy decisions and direction
- apply the process/procedures for strategic discussion that delegates will apply during the strategic debate sessions
- undertake the role and responsibilities of the physician delegate, during and after GC
This event is an Accredited Learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 16.5. This program has been reviewed and approved by the University of Ottawa, Office of Continuing Professional Development.
This program has been accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 16 Mainpro-M1 credits.
