Proposed tax changes affecting physicians; Make your voice heard!
Physicians, working with the CMA, have been effective in voicing their concerns about the federal government's proposed tax changes for private corporations.
Many physicians and provincial medical associations have taken the time to voice their concerns – through town halls, one-on-one meetings with elected officials, and partnerships with other affected small business owners.
In addition, physicians have sent over 10,000 letters to their local MPs and to Finance Minister Bill Morneau using the CMA’s letter-writing tool – a very effective way to let the government know where we stand.
While the Department of Finance closed their public consultation on October 2, 2017, they’re listening to the many voices on this important issue and are now hinting at potential changes.
As the government takes time to review this feedback, we need to keep up the momentum! Please use the new letter-writing tool below to let your MP and Minister Morneau know how these proposed changes will affect you. Encourage your colleagues to do the same – it’s not too late to speak up!
