Proposed tax changes affecting physicians; Make your voice heard!
Canadians have been told that the federal government is committed to growing the economy, helping families, youth and women, and ensuring we have thriving communities from coast to coast to coast.
Canada’s doctors are equally committed to these goals, as health care providers and as owners of medical practices which operate as small businesses. That is why the changes proposed by the federal Finance Department unfairly target physicians who simply want to run their practices efficiently and provide high-quality care for patients.
While the proposed changes are alarming, the federal government has established a public consultation to hear from Canadians before deciding whether or not they will adjust the tax regime. We need to speak up now to make sure our voices are heard.
Please complete the electronic form below and provide your voice to your Member of Parliament and Finance Minister Bill Morneau.
The public consultation closes Oct. 2, 2017. Please, talk to your colleagues. Forward a link to this page to your colleagues today. The time to act is now!
