Joule, CMA’s innovation-focused subsidiary, is challenging CMA members to send ideas for a product using 3D printing that could ultimately lead to improving a patient’s quality of life.
Ideas can be submitted through Joule’s innovation platform, powered by
Output. The intention is to create a community where physicians with good ideas are assisted by peers to make those ideas great. While all CMA members can participate, this first challenge is geared towards students and residents who are also eligible for cash awards. At the end of the challenge, Joule will create prototypes of the top three ideas.
“At Joule, we know the power of collaboration,” says Lindee David, Joule CEO. “These challenges are designed to facilitate physician-led innovation and to help CMA members help deliver improved patient outcomes.”
The challenge runs from May 29 to June 19 after which Joule will identify the Top 100 ideas. For full details including Terms and Conditions, please visit
