The Health Accord Canada needs (Political action session)

(Tues. Aug. 23, 3:15 pm - 4:30 pm)

This session will provide an overview of the CMA’s Health Accord strategy and explore the role of the medical profession in shaping the accord so that it meets the needs of Canadians.

Learning objectives

Participants will:

  • analyze the need for and required components of a new Health Accord within the current political environment;
  • propose the role(s) that physicians can play in advocating for a new Health Accord that addresses the needs of Canadians;
  • define the advocacy opportunities for the profession to help position the CMA as a leading, national stakeholder to inform the next Health Accord.

2016 General Council Program: This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 16.75 hours.
