Caregiving /Youth Activity Subsidy Policy – CMA Quebec City 2017

Purpose

The development and implementation of a caregiving and youth activity subsidy policy is designed to make it easier for our member participants to attend General Council (GC), remove potential barriers to their attendance and heighten the inclusive nature of this event.

Scope

This policy applies to all registered member participants who incur additional third party caregiving or youth activity program expenses as a result of participating in sessions of GC and/or attending the CMA organized evening social functions. Coverage includes costs for one or more of the following:

  • Caregiving (e.g. babysitting)
  • Third party organized youth activity with supervised instructors (eg., daycamps, programs)
  • Entrance fees to tourist attractions in Quebec City and area
  • Accommodation and travel costs for permanent caregivers (eg. nannies) who are travelling with the member
  • Additional expenses incurred to support dependents staying at home

The obligation to find these services, attractions and activities lies with the member.

This policy provides coverage up to a maximum of $350, inclusive of all taxes, per family. Child is defined as being a newborn to 17 years of age.
