International Conference on Physician HealthTM (ICPH) is a collaborative meeting brought to you by the
American Medical Association (AMA), the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and the
British Medical Association (BMA). This conference is held every other year and is hosted by one of the founding associations.
The conference showcases research and perspectives into physicians’ health and offers practical, evidence-based skills and strategies to promote a healthier medical culture for physicians. The conference provides a forum for practitioners and researchers to present recent findings, innovative methods and support systems, and educational programs in the area of physicians’ health. This friendly and informal environment promotes networking, exchange of experience and information, and leisure activity focused on staying healthy.

Canadian Physician Health Institute
The Canadian Physician Health Institute (CPHI) is a national program created in 2012 as a collaboration between the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), the Canadian Medical Foundation (CMF) and the Provincial and Territorial Medical Associations (PTMAs). The CPHI brings the national and coordinated approach aimed at integrating existing resources. It provides a cohesive, comprehensive, efficient and effective approach that supports the sharing of experiences, the exchange of knowledge and the furthering of research to improve our collective knowledge of physician health and well-being. Canadian Medical Foundation
The Canadian Medical Foundation (CMF) is a national charitable organization focused solely on supporting Canada’s physicians and health care system through three priority areas:
- Funding physician health and well-being initiatives
- Funding bursaries for medical students and
- Funding physicians’ philanthropic, research and medical outreach priorities.
Founded in 1987 by CMA, the CMF directs 100% of all donations to charitable works, with support from MD Physician Services and the CMA Group of Companies.
