André Bernard is an anesthesiologist with Nova Scotia Health and an associate professor and associate head of the Department of Anesthesia, Pain Management & Perioperative Medicine at Dalhousie University, where he helps lead an academic clinical department of more than 100 physicians.
Dr. Bernard has also been board chair for Doctors Nova Scotia since 2016 and is passionate about leading effective meetings and evolving board governance in keeping with best practices. Before this role, he represented the CMA at the World Medical Association, where he served on council, committees and numerous working groups.
