Dr. Christie MacDonald is an emergency physician practising in London, Ontario. She has held progressive leadership positions through her career and is the current physician executive lead at the London Health Sciences Centre and chief of emergency medicine at St. Joseph's Health Care. Her work involves leading the academic mission and clinical practice of emergency medicine in London. Her interests include optimizing care for marginalized patients seeking emergency care, team dynamics and equitable access to emergency care.
Dr. MacDonald completed her physical therapy degree at Western University and her medical degree at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She returned to Western University to complete her residency training at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. She attained her CCPE designation in 2022.
