Gaelen J. Morphet previously served on the board of directors of CMA Investco Inc. and joined the Investment Committee in January 2022.
Ms. Morphet was executive vice-president and chief investment officer for Sentry Investments, where she was responsible for $19 billion in financial assets, including 22 mutual and pooled funds. She left in October 2017 after Sentry was acquired by CI Financial. Prior to this role, Ms. Morphet was senior vice-president and chief investment officer at Empire Life Investments and Empire Life Insurance Company. She has also held senior positions at CIBC Global Asset Management and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
Ms. Morphet currently serves on the board of MCAN Mortgage Corporation, the Art Gallery of Ontario Foundation and the Ontario Arts Foundation.
She holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a graduate of Western University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree.
