In 2026-27, a physician from Newfoundland and Labrador will serve as CMA president.
We worked with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association to promote this opportunity and enable members of all backgrounds and experiences to put forward their candidacy. It’s important that the CMA’s leadership reflects the diversity of the medical profession and the communities we serve.

Members in Newfoundland and Labrador have chosen Dr. Bolu Ogunyemi as the CMA’s next president-elect, subject to General Council approval at the CMA’s Annual General Meeting in May 2025.
