Survived by 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. “After medical school Spencer worked for several years as a general practitioner. He then went to McGill to do a residency in radiology, and in 1970 started work as a pediatric radiologist at the Janeway Child Health Centre, where he stayed until his retirement at the age of 72. Spencer was passionate about his work and loved his colleagues. He also enjoyed teaching and spent much of his career with a student sitting next to him. He was honoured when a radiology teaching award was named after him.”
