Physicians play a significant role in promoting COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and uptake with patients and communities.

A survey by Abacus Data from July 2021 found that 84 per cent of people in Canada have already been vaccinated or would get vaccinated as soon as possible, but eight per cent still show some degree of hesitancy. Information from their family doctor could help address their hesitancy about whether to get vaccinated.
