Survived by 4 children and 8 grandchildren. “He lived as he encouraged his patients to do: walking each day, and adhering to the Mediterranean diet.” CTV News reported: “He was known for having practised medicine on the 2 extremes of medical care delivery: as the head of cardiology at the Montreal General Hospital for more than 2 decades, and as cardiologist to the tiny and remote Inuit communities of the Baffin region in the North for 3 decades.”
