"Dr. Chak studied and practised medicine in England, Scotland, the United States and Canada. He was grateful to the University of Manitoba for respecting his international medical graduate qualifications in 1966, thereby giving him the opportunity to train further and practise in Canada. He believed strongly in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and was passionate about his profession and honoured to be called to practise the science and art of medicine."
