Dr. Ross has spent her professional life as a full-service family physician with a special interest in obstetrics. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 1974 and moved to British Columbia to complete her family practice residency before settling in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Dr. Ross first became involved in organized medicine through the Federation of Medical Women of Canada. For the Medical Women’s International Association, she was the Vancouver branch president, national president and then president. She has also served the Doctors of BC in several capacities, including as president from 2012–13. Dr. Ross currently chairs the CMA Governance Committee.
