From 1975 to 1990 he was professor and head of the Department of Pathology in the College of Medicine of the University of Saskatchewan, and head of pathology at the University Hospital. He also taught in medical ethics and served as chair of the Committee on General Pathology for the Royal College.” A former neighbour recalled: “When we were kids and our parents were going away, my mother would take care to point to the list of contacts she’d recorded, in case of emergency.
