Survived by his wife Moyra, 4 children and 7 grandchildren. “Gerard lived on 2 continents other than North America during his life, including 2 years in Lagos, Nigeria, while serving as a captain with the Royal Army Medical Corps. He practised general medicine and public health in the UK before emigrating to Goderich, Ont., in 1966, where he served as medical officer of health in Huron County and, later, in the Waterloo Region. He retired in 1991.”
