Survived by his wife Louise, 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. “After medical school, John graduated from the University of Toronto’s very first class in obstetrics and gynecology. He practised in Windsor for most of his career, in partnership with Dr. Keith MacLeod (deceased, 2021). He delivered many thousands of babies, witnessing the miracle of life daily. He was on staff at all 3 Windsor hospitals, serving at the Metropolitan Hospital as chief of ob/gyn for 10 years and chief of staff for 2 years. He received the Ontario Medical Association’s (OMA) Glenn Sawyer Award for authoring the historical publication Essex County Medical Society 1914-1989: 75 Years of Dedication. He was a member of both the OMA and the Canadian Medical Association, and served on the boards of the North American Gynecological Society and Iona College.”
