Survived by 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. “As a young graduate from Dalhousie, Freddie was posted as regimental medical officer to the 86th Bridging Company, a unit in the 3rd Canadian Division, and he landed on the shores of Normandy on D-Day+10. Following the war he studied nephrology at the Montreal General and established the first hemodialysis unit in Atlantic Canada. He was a dedicated physician until his retirement at age 75.”
