This fee category is available to medical students who are enrolled in a recognized faculty of medicine.

Medical Residents $0

This fee category is available to medical residents who are enrolled in a recognized faculty of medicine and to international medical graduates enrolled in a formal pre-residency training program.

First Year in Practice $98

50% discount of full dues for physicians entering their first year of practice after completing a formal residency program.

Full - In Practice $195

This fee category is available to licensed physicians working full time as deemed by their respective territory/province of practice.

Retired $0

This fee category is available to physicians who are retired (not working for remuneration).

Canadian Armed Forces (Full - In Practice) $195

Members of the Canadian Armed Forces are considered Members At Large (MAL) unless they are members of a PTMA. Regardless of PTMA or MAL status, they pay the Canadian fees.

Note: A member must first belong to their respective provincial/territorial medical association (PTMA) in order to qualify for CMA membership.

PTMAs will have special membership categories based on the licensing status of the physician.

Outside of Canada / Members at large

Medical Students $12

This fee category is available to medical students who are enrolled in a recognized faculty of medicine.

Medical Residents $50

This fee category is available to international medical graduates enrolled in a formal pre-residency training program.

Full - In Practice $495

This fee category is available to licensed physicians working full time.
