Do you want to help change the health care system? Make connections and build your leadership skills through the CMA Ambassador Program.
The CMA Ambassador Program provides an introduction to health policy and advocacy for medical students, residents and physicians in their first five years of practice. The program helps strengthen the next generation of medical leaders by engaging Canada’s newest physicians and physicians-in-training in discussions about emerging health issues, medical technologies and service models.
The benefits of being a CMA Ambassador
As a CMA Ambassador, you’ll receive funding and support to attend select CMA and other health-related events across Canada. These include, among others:
- CMA Annual General Meeting
- CMA Health Summit
- Canadian Conference on Physician Leadership
- International Conference on Physician Health
These events are great opportunities to meet like-minded peers who want to make a difference and to connect with — and learn from — experienced physician leaders. You’ll also have opportunities to provide direct feedback to the CMA through consultations, committees and working groups.
Develop new skills you can apply right away in your studies or in your own practice. Learn how to engage with medical leaders at all levels — and be an advocate on issues that matter to you and your community.
