His daughter, Dr. Kate Greenaway, commented: “After completing his residency at the Montreal General in 1967 he had a long career in family medicine in Amherstburg, Ont., and he also served as chief of staff at Windsor’s Hotel Dieu Hospital. He was a dedicated long-term care physician, and continued working in this capacity until the week prior to his death. He was a medical teacher, an advocate for his nursing colleagues, and a proponent of high-quality care for elderly patients.”
