Health Summit Series: Bold Choices in Health Care

There is an urgent need to stabilize the health care system – as well as growing calls for its transformation.

Solutions are not in short supply. But getting from now to next depends on bold choices.

The CMA is hosting a series of events to tackle those choices, bringing together physicians with other health stakeholders for unfiltered debate.

Join us for the next session of Bold Choices in Health Care – December 8, 2022, 6:30 to 8 pm ET – to discuss the issue at the heart of an effective and efficient health system: How we deliver care to our patients.

CMA President Dr. Alika Lafontaine will host a panel featuring:

  • Dr. Brian Goldman, emergency physician, author and broadcaster
  • Deb Matthews, former Ontario Minister of Health and Long-Term Care
  • Dr. Rita McCracken, family physician and primary care services and workforce researcher
  • Claire Snyman, author and patient advocate

More than 350 people attended our first Bold Choices session on Oct. 26 – a candid conversation with former British Columbia Premier Christy Clark, former Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil, political columnist Chantal Hébert and host and CMA President Dr. Alika Lafontaine – that focused on aligning health funding with system change.
