Died Dec. 13, 2019, aged 83. Survived by his wife Eleanor and a son. “Garry was proud of his work with the Peterborough Health Unit and helped Peterborough to become the second city in Ontario to be smoke-free in public places. He also led the way for same-day cataract surgery, and helped to bring nurse practitioners to Peterborough city and county. He also partnered with Curve Lake First Nation on public health issues, and served as president of the Peterborough County Medical Society.”
