Survived by 4 children and 6 grandchildren. “Stan trained as a general surgeon at Toronto Western Hospital before specializing in neurosurgery. His contributions to the medical community in Kitchener-Waterloo spanned more than 50 years. In addition to practising neurosurgery at both Kitchener-Waterloo (KW) and St. Mary’s hospitals, he was chief of surgery and held various executive positions on the Medical Advisory Committee at the KW Hospital, including president of the medical staff. During his time at the hospital he oversaw a significant increase in the size of and requirements for the medical staff. Throughout his career Stan was a leader committed to the care and success of his peers and his community.”
