Ottawa; University of Manitoba, 1966; orthopedic surgery. Died May 8, 2018, aged 76. Survived by his wife Pat, 4 children, 2 stepchildren and 15 grandchildren. “After medical school he found his calling in orthopedics and pursued training in England, after which he took a staff position at the University of Manitoba in 1972. He moved to the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Civic Hospital in 1992, where he served until his retirement in 2014. Dad was gifted with a kind heart and unparalleled clinical ability. However, even though he excelled in orthopedic trauma surgery and spine surgery, his greatest gift over his long career was as a teacher and mentor to many students and physicians.”
