The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is pleased to announce this year’s CMA Awards recipients — 13 passionate and determined individuals who are reimagining the future of health care.
These awards celebrate accomplishments in advocacy, leadership and innovation, including work to improve access to care, strengthen equity and diversity in the medical profession and build climate-resilient health systems.

The 2024 CMA Awards recipients are:
- Dr. Anthony Fields — F.N.G. Starr Award
- Dr. Geneviève Moineau — Dr. Léo Paul Landry Medal of Service Award
- Dr. Joe Vipond — CMA Award for Political Advocacy
- Dr. Michelle Graham — CMA May Cohen Award for Women Mentors
- Ms. Audrey McFarlane — Owen Adams Award of Honour
- Dr. Lynn Ashdown — Dr. Ashok Muzumdar Memorial Award for Physicians with Disabilities
- Dr. Hadal El-Hadi — Dr. Brian Brodie Organizational Leadership Development Award for resident
- Dr. Saadia Sediqzadah — CMA Award for Young Leaders (early career)
- Dr. Caley Shukalek — CMA Award for Young Leaders (early career)
- Dr. Adom Bondzi-Simpson — CMA Award for Young Leaders (resident)
- Dr. Jasmine Mah — CMA Award for Young Leaders (resident)
- Ms. Lotus Alphonsus — CMA Award for Young Leaders (student)
- Mr. Saman Arfaie — CMA Award for Young Leaders (student)
