Survived by 4 children and 6 grandchildren. “Born in North Korea, David escaped to South Korea with his 2 sisters when war broke out. Raised by his older sisters, he worked diligently and gained acceptance into the prestigious Seoul National University School of Medicine. After graduation and service in the [South Korean] navy, he immigrated to Ottawa to complete his residency in radiology. He eventually settled in Niagara Falls, Ont., and worked as a radiologist at the Niagara General Hospital from 1972 to 2008, when he retired. Following his retirement he remained an honorary staff member, even continuing to work part time in Pelham, Ont., for a few more years.”
