Survived by his wife Maria, 2 children and 4 grandchildren. “Following a career in geological surveying, Randolph completed his medical degree at the University of Toronto and then specialized in internal medicine. He practised medicine for over 55 years, treasuring his work at St. Michael’s Hospital (Toronto), the Royal Victoria Hospital (Barrie, Ont.) and, finally, with Vancouver Island Health. Randolph enjoyed clinical practice so much that he did not hang up his stethoscope until after his recent pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He will be remembered for the quiet patience and compassion he showed his patients, students, colleagues and friends.”
