Died Feb. 9, 2017, aged 82. Survived by his wife Jenny, 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 2 stepchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. "Stew was a family practitioner on the North Shore for 30 years. In 1991 he left his practice to become vice-president, medicine, at Lions Gate Hospital and, during his last year there, the chief operating officer. He ended his career as chief administrator of Eagle Ridge Hospital, retiring at age 72."
