Sarnia, Ont.; Queen’s University, 1963; diagnostic radiology; former member, Canadian Forces Medical Service. Died July 10, 2022, aged 87. Survived by his wife Madeline, 6 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. “Dad has helped and shown kindness to many while working at Sarnia General Hospital and Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital, which became Bluewater Health, for 35 years. As medical director of imaging, he was instrumental in bringing CT scanning, MRI technology, ultrasound of the prostate and 2D echocardiography to Sarnia. A brilliant and caring physician, he served as a hospital board member and on committees to improve health care, including the Lambton District Health Council and Ontario Hospital Association Board of Directors, and as medical adviser to Fanshawe Community College’s Radiological Medical Technician Program. After medical school, Kingsley served as a medical officer in the army for 3 years, and was trained for deployment to Cyprus. He then worked as a family physician and at the Rideau Regional Hospital in Smith Falls, Ont., and the Ontario Hospital, Kingston, Ont., before accepting an offer to practise radiology in Sarnia.”
