Died Aug. 13, 2021, aged 76. Survived by his wife Sharleen, 4 children, 2 stepchildren and 13 grandchildren. “After medical school Jim completed his residency in family medicine at Calgary General Hospital, earning a fellowship in family medicine and a certificate of special competence in emergency medicine. He also established a large private family medicine practice in Calgary, which operated until 2015. He was with the Physicians’ Emergency Service at Foothills Medical Centre (FMC) for over 25 years, and following that he worked with the hospitalist team at FMC from 1998 to 2021. Jim was also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary.”
