In response to the war in Ukraine and associated sanctions against Russia, and in keeping with its Responsible Investing principles, the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) has directed all entities within the CMA Group of Companies to divest of, to the extent possible, any investments held in the Russian Federation.
By doing so, the CMA is joining a movement of investors standing up against Russia’s military action in Ukraine.
On Mar. 1, the CMA issued a statement in support of health workers and patients in Ukraine. We joined the international community and all Canadians in calling for a rapid end to the invasion and continue to be dismayed at the risk facing health care workers, medical facilities and patients in Ukraine.
