Canadian Medical Association

At the CMA, we are pleased to see the CMA Foundation support efforts to help long-term care and retirement homes manage COVID-19. The pandemic has disproportionately affected seniors and shone a spotlight on the gaps that have existed for years.

Seniors care was a priority long before the pandemic and we will continue to work toward improving seniors care in Canada. All levels of government need to take action to support our seniors, whether they live at home, in long-term care or retirement homes.

Throughout this pandemic, strong leadership will continue to be critical to support our aging population and those on the front-line to care for them in long-term care and retirement homes. Part of this leadership was demonstrated today by the CMA Foundation and we are grateful for that.
