Canadian Medical Association

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) brings the profession together to advocate for sustainable solutions to national health care challenges. Physician leadership from across the country is critical to drive that reform – now more than ever.

In 2024-25, a physician from Manitoba will serve as president of the CMA.

We worked with Doctors Manitoba to promote this opportunity and enable members of all backgrounds and experiences to put forward their candidacy. It’s important that the CMA’s leadership reflects the diversity of the medical profession and the communities we serve.

The results are in!

Members in Manitoba have chosen Dr. Joss Reimer as CMA’s next president-elect, pending ratification at the Annual General Meeting on Aug. 16.
