Lived experience
Survivor who experienced 20 years of heart failure and went from using a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) mechanical heart pump device to receiving a heart transplant.
Key areas of interest in advocacy
Working on strategies to support patients, caregivers and health care workers by sharing personal lived experience. Ensuring a national standard is formed for equal access to health care resources.
What I hope to bring to the Patient Voice
Lived experience with heart failure and transplant while dealing with the health care system. An interest in collaborating with and contributing to the Patient Voice team to improve patient care and workplace quality for health care professionals.
