Indigenous Canada is a massive open online course offered by the Faculty of Native Studies at the University of Alberta. Across 12 lessons, learners can explore the histories and perspectives of Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island. The course focuses on the contemporary challenges and experiences of Indigenous peoples, looking through a historical and critical lens to understand colonialism from the Indigenous perspective. Topics include exchange relationships, land claims, environmental impacts, legal systems, political conflicts and alliances, Indigenous activism and Indigenous art.
