The Indigenous Physicians Association of Canada (IPAC) Mentorship Circle is an opportunity for IPAC members —- Indigenous medical students, medical residents and physicians — to connect, “in the spirit of medical education.” The gathering is held on the mentorship software platform PushFar. At the Mentorship Circle gathering, mentees and mentors can engage in one-time mentorship sessions or ongoing mentor–mentee correspondence. Participants are encouraged to set goals, communicate with each other and attend various in-person and virtual mentorship events throughout the year. Acknowledging that experiences in a medical career can be difficult, members are given the opportunity to connect with and learn from peers and colleagues as they navigate their journeys.
