Survived by his wife Diane, 4 children and 8 grandchildren. “In 1953 he moved with his parents to St. John’s when his father was appointed head of the Faculty of English at Memorial University. John attended Memorial University and studied medicine at the Royal London Hospital, England. He returned to Newfoundland in 1965, where he entered general practice. In 1975 he continued studies by enrolling at Dalhousie for training as a specialist in radiology and ultrasound. In this capacity, he practised at the Grace General Hospital in St. John’s until his retirement in 2005.”
