Survived by 3 children. “After medical school she did her residency in pediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto at a time when medicine was a male-dominated profession. In 1958 she moved to Ottawa and worked at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), and was also in private practice. Celia’s proudest professional accomplishment was setting up the poison-control centre at CHEO.”
