2019 CMA Annual General Meeting and General Council
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a forum for CMA members to learn about the activities of the CMA, consider association business, such as bylaw amendments, and ask questions of the CMA’s leaders. It’s where the new CMA president is installed, and General Council (GC) delegates have the opportunity to vote on elected positions.
CMA members are invited to attend this year’s AGM and GC elections on Aug. 11, 2019, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
To participate in this year’s AGM, non-members must join the CMA by 5 pm EDT on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019. Please click here or call 1-888-855-2555 for more information on becoming a CMA member.
Members are also encouraged to join our GC policy discussion on the current state of virtual care in Canada and the challenges it creates. This discussion takes place on Aug. 13, 2019, during the CMA Health Summit.

The CMA’s audited financial statements for 2018 are included in the 2019 Report to Members (see Appendix B, login required). These non-consolidated statements have been prepared specifically for the purposes of assessing the financial operations of CMA as a stand-alone entity as described in Note 2 to the financial statements. The audited financial statements for each of the subsidiaries are available upon request.

2019 CMA Health Summit
The second annual CMA Health Summit was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Aug. 12‑13. This year, our theme was Connected in Care. We heard from you on how to integrate services into a high-functioning system of care, foster effective information exchanges, scale up virtual care, identify which policy issues should be debated during the 2019 federal election and more.
