Dr. Michael Arget completed medical school at the University of Calgary and his internal medicine residency training at the University of Saskatchewan. He is currently completing his subspecialty training in palliative medicine at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Arget also has a master’s degree in public health and worked in health care quality improvement before entering medicine. He is interested in health systems, leadership and advocacy and in improving patient care through improved communication and teamwork.
Dr. Arget has previously sat on several boards, including those of Resident Doctors of Canada, Resident Doctors of Saskatchewan and the Pacific Youth and Family Services Society. With this background, he hopes to work on ways to improve member engagement, especially among learners and newly practising physicians.
