The CMA promotes a healthy population by supporting grassroots initiatives that improve quality of life for patients and vulnerable populations and positively impact whole communities. The Healthy Canadians Grants, provided in partnership with the CMA Foundation, assist these kinds of activities.
Different themes are chosen for Healthy Canadians Grants according to top needs and issues across the country.
Stay tuned for more information on the 2019 grant application process and how you can advance health promotion in your community.
Who can apply for a Healthy Canadians Grant?
Healthy Canadians Grants are open to any registered charity in Canada. All applications must be accompanied by a letter of support from a local physician. Submissions should demonstrate how the initiative will make a tangible difference in the community.
How are recipients selected?
The CMA Foundation’s Grant Disbursement Committee reviews all applications for fit with the identified theme, impact on the community and long-term feasibility.
