Indigenous author, beadwork artist, backpacker, student of social work, queer. Advocate for people with mental health challenges, trauma survivors and those who have experienced homelessness. 

Lived experience

Person who has experienced complex post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, fibromyalgia, anxiety, migraine disorders, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, homelessness and other traumas. 

Key areas of interest in advocacy

Elevating the voice of people with lived experience. Promoting patient-partnered inclusive care. Advocating for decolonization and addressing intergenerational trauma. Ending the stigma associated with mental illness, especially for those with concurrent mental and physical illnesses. 

What I hope to bring to the Patient Voice

Dedication to the safety and well-being of patients in Canada’s health care system. Belief that all people deserve dignity, respect, housing and health care that is accessible, trauma informed and affordable.
