Canadian Medical Association

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Pride at Work Canada — an organization focused on creating inclusive workplaces that support people of all gender expressions, gender identities and sexual orientations.

The CMA is guided by core principles of equity and diversity. Part of our ambitious Impact 2040 strategy is elevating diversity and inclusion in the medical profession and advocating for work environments that support physicians’ physical, psychological and cultural safety.

We are equally committed to embracing equity and diversity internally.

“Diversity and inclusion make us all better. The CMA is committed to ensuring every employee feels respected and valued in our organization. Partnering with Pride at Work Canada is another step we are taking to continue to create a workplace that is inclusive and realizes the full potential of 2SLGBTQIA+ employees.” — Tim Smith, CMA CEO

Pride at Work Canada shares best practices and educates organizations on emerging issues facing 2sLGBTQIA+ employees in the workplace. It also provides e-learning resources, for example on the history of 2SLGBTQIA+ rights in Canada and important terms of reference. Other resources available include webinars, events and networking programs.
